Based in south west England, near Yeovil, in central Somerset we play a wide repertoire of popular music from the 1930s to the present day in big band style.

We are always looking for musicians to join us whether you’re an improving amateur, or a professional. Typically, our arrangements are scored for alto, tenor and baritone saxophones, trumpets, trombones, piano, rhythm guitar, bass guitar, and drums. In addition, we feature male and female vocalists.

You will need to be able to read music and play your chosen instrument to at least a minimum equivalent standard of grade 4 or above.

We endeavour to cover the cost of running the band from fund raising concerts. However, the harsh economic reality is that it is difficult to cover all of our costs by this means. Adult band members are required to pay a small monthly subscription. Concessions are available for students, unemployed etc and under 18s are free.
